Week 25 { and the drama continues...}

taken today contractions and all...hence no make up and no hair done.

How far along: 25 weeks
weight: 120lbs (although the docs scale says 122..I like my numbers better).
Waist size:
Baby Size: From head to heel the baby is 13 1/2 inches long and he weighs about 1 1/2lbs. but he's beginning to exchange his long, lean look for some baby fat. As he does, his wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and she'll start to look more and more like a newborn. She's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture.
Stretch Marks: nothings changed...no new ones
Maternity clothes: today I'm in no maternity clothes....my work out crops (so comfy on these hot days) and my favorite target tank tops (also non maternity).
Gender: It's a BOY!
Movement: He is still on a good movement schedule.  The fun thing this week was that I would rub my belly where I could feel him and he would punch or kick back.
Sleep: Sleep this week is ok...pillows between my legs, pillows on my back but it's good sleep.
My Symptoms: Well my monthly check up yesterday changed a few things.So yesterday I went in for my 6 month check up and thankfully I did. yesterday morning I started having pain in my lower stomach and tightening in my abdomen.  Come to find out they are contractions (again?). So she did a test to check my protein levels to see if I am at risk for preterm labor.  I haven't heard the results yet so I am guessing that the test came back negative. So for today and tomorrow I am on bed rest and hoping that they go away.  For the most part they aren't as bad as they were yesterday but I am still having a few every hour.  I also talked to her about my back hurting while at work.  I can be at work for about an hour or so and then it starts hurting...I get up and walk around, i stretch and nothing helps.  Come to find out my Sciatic nerve is pinched.  She mentioned taking me out of work completely but I asked her to hold off for now until I can talk to my boss and see if maybe I can work from home either 1/2days or full time.  I will talk to him this Friday when I go back to work. That way I don't have to go on disability and make us financially strapped by not bringing in as much money. So we will see.
Food:Not cravings this week.  Its been really hot here so cold food sounds good and grilled steak and chicken sounds good too.
Fun times: Ry is still talking to the baby all the time and dad is getting more excited and is always rubbing my belly to feel the baby moving. Last weekend we cleared out the office to make room for baby but we left the computer desk and computer in there for now.  It's getting exciting to start getting the baby's room ready.  Robots here we come.
